The Sunday Telegraph 31st August - reported on ways to green up your house. Within the article they insulation took three of the top spots for the best ways to achieve energy efficiency.

"Loft insulation is the single most cost-efficient way of reducing your heating bills and carbon emissions"... "Insulation is entering a new era."

June/July 2008 various regional newspapers reported: Insulation – it's the sensible option

"It's a commonly held misconception that insulating a home can be a costly process which takes years to reap rewards. The NIA has set out to reveal the truth about how inexpensive it can be and how quickly it can pay for itself."

Lancashire Evening Telegraph 20th August – Insulate to offset rise in gas prices

"Following the recent energy price increases by British Gas, he NIA urges householders to insulate without delay."

The Sunday Express on 27 April 2008 asked the NIA about Tesco's plans to provide home insulation and the energy efficiency of the UK's housing stock:

More than 13 million homes have inadequate loft insulation, according to the NIA, and nine million cavity walls are not insulated. More and more people are insulating their homes because they realise that by minimising heat loss they will ultimately save money on their bills.

Neil Marshall, CEO of the National Insulation Association, is interviewed live on Insight Radio on 19th February 2008 about the importance of insulating your home and how to go about finding a reputable installer through the NIA.

"Walls in older homes lose even more heat, but you can add extra wall insulation. The National Insulation Association can provide details."

Move or Improve in January 2008, asked:

"How can we improve our insulation and seriously reduce energy costs? By topping up insulation or starting from scratch if things are really bad, the amount of energy required to heat homes could be reduced quite considerably, saving up to 25% on fuel bills."

Self Storage in January 2008 reported:

"Home insulation is the best way to reduce your carbon footprint. CEO of the National Insulation Association, Neil Marshall, said that insulating is a better method of saving energy than "behavioural measures" such as turning the central heating down slightly, because it can 'last forever'."
